Work Package 2

This work package relates to the assessment of the psychometric tool for the early detection of probable dropouts. Its purpose than to ensure the tool used can detect distress signs from students and understand why they are likely to drop out of school early. If these signs are early detected, chances of assist and change the future of students are increased.

Public deliverables

  • A baseline study for early detection of dropouts, mainly for students with socio-economic difficulties.
  • TeSTED Assessment psychometric tool, with a handbook to learn how to use it

Expected impact

Those deliverables should be able to provide data, and will give a feedback to improve it and expand it to a wider audience. The psychometric tool should also be used by VET teachers and trainers to adapt their learning and be aware of this problem.

Work Package 3

Work Package 3 relates to the VET staff and VET trainers upskilling package. It will enable this target people to be aware of VET learners with dropout issues and it will allow us to adapt VET staff’s skills, as well as get a better overview of social and labor market implications.

Public deliverables

  • TeSTED Curriculum : experience and data gathering which could be ready to analyze the specific course goals and student learning outcomes. It will be coupled with the communication of expectations to VET staff and learners.
  • TeSTED Training Material Based on the curriculum: including five modules available in all partners national languages.
  • TeSTED Learning Management System: to ensure a wide and easy accessibility of the project’s training material.

Expected impact

This Work Package should be able to improve VET teachers/trainers and staff upskilling in order to make use of TeSTED psychometric tool results. Moreover, this will enable the eradication of skills shortages and lack of experience in the VET sector about dropout issues.

Work Package 4

Work Package 4 relates on the intervention mechanism for tackling dropouts in the VET environment. It is the third and final part of the TeSTED impact in fight against the early VET dropouts. It will take stock of all Work Packages results in order to build a strong response to support the students at risk.

Public deliverables

  • An in-campus operating office for students who need further support and guidance beyond the tools set up in the previous Work Packages.
  • A consolidated document using all data collected and designates specific roles and responsibilities for VET staff.
  • A reporting tool comparable to a library for the support of the needs of each target group

Expected impact

This Work Package has been designed to understand the functions of human behavior and why certain group of students is acting in a certain way. Moreover, it will build up a reporting mechanism for dropout prevention cases to enhance the TeSTED intervention mechanism. It will also collect the results of the upskilled VET staff into a complete intervention mechanism with specific functions tailor such as information, psychological support and consultation.

Core Training Material and Assessments

Alongside the curriculum, core training materials and assessments will be developed and fine-tuned. These resources are designed to provide VET staff with the necessary tools and methodologies for effective curriculum implementation and evaluation.
